Playing with plenty of determination Konnark FC staved off a spirited challenge from Flash FC to snatch a narrow 1-0 victory in a league match of the Colaba Sports League and played at the Cooperage ground.

In a match in which was evenly fought, the two sides managed to create chances and on quite a few occasion came close to scoring but the first session of 35 minutes ended barren.
However, after switching ends, Konnark got the decisive breakthrough when midfielder Navin Negi after getting into the clear coolly beat rival custodian Sagar Pagdhare for the lone goal of the match.
Later, midfielder Floyd Dharmai who played a pivotal role for Konnark FC was declared as the ‘Player of the match’.
In the second match, Hirai Suns prevailed over Shark FC 5-3 via the tie-breaker after the game ended in an exciting 2-2 draw. Marquee player Hekmat Singh and Jiten Bhoir were on target for Hirai Suns while Prakash Khatti and skipper Anil Pawar scored the goals for Shark FC to force the penalty shootout. In the tie-breaker Karim Shaikh, Hekmat Singh and Sushil Kawde converted for Hirai, while only Anil Pawar could score for Sharks.
Anil Pawar was named ‘Player of the match’.
