Prolific scorer Pizan Kodia’s twin strikes were the feature of Godrej & Boyce SC’s emphatic 5-0 win against Freunds SC in a Second Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.
Playing a cohesive unit, Godrej & Boyce made bright start with Kodia scoring in the very fifth minute and he added the second two minutes before Tawfik Manham added the third in the 28th minute. In the second half, Godrej & Boyce struck two more goals through Sanket Kadam (60th min) and Sunil Ghogale (65th) to complete the winning tally.
In another encounter, Sterkem Pharma FC managed to overcome GKW Rangers ‘A’ by a close 2-1 margin. Nitin Panhale scored both the goals for the winners while Mihi Koppikar pulled one back for the losers.
