Kimaya D’Souza, of JBCN International and Karan Salvi, of Somaiya Sports Academy bagged the under-19 honours in their respective girls and boys categories in the annual GMAAA Inter-school and junior colleges Swimming championships, organized at the Borivali’s Mandpeshwar Civic Federation swimming pool over the weekend. However, only three new records that were set during the two-day meet were in the lower age groups.
Individual winners with their trophies pose with the GMAAA and MCF officials.
Sharing the honours with them were Jasudben’s Tannishtha Nair with three golds including a record breaking in the girls under-17 and Shubham Joshi (Mulund College of Commerce) who ended with three golds in the boys under-17 sections. Arnav Wadekar of Don Bosco, too, had his share of four golds, including one with new record in the 50m back stroke in the under-15 category.
