Kharghar Girl Swastika Ghosh is World ranked 32 in TT Under -18


Swastika Ghosh the 10th standard student of Ramseth Thakur Public School, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, has climbed up to rank no. 32 in the World Junior Girls Under-18 group in the game of Table Tennis. Last year, Swastika was ranked no. 300 in the world, but during the period February 2018 to December 2018 Swastika played in nine international tournaments for India and claimed nine medals.

Swastika who is passionate about table tennis had actually participated in 15 international tournaments out of which six have been in the sub junior event since 2016. Thanks to her school authorities for their support and her father & Coach Sandeep Ghosh who has trained her to reach this level. Swastika also received the scholarship from Virat Kolhi Foundation, which helped her a lot to progress in this game at international level.

 

Incidentally, Swastika  led Maharashtra U- 17 girls to bag  a Gold and individually bagged a Silver at the recently concluded  National School Games in Vadodara.
