Yogesh Desai is the most dedicated Table Tennis player. He has been playing the game of Table tennis , for almost 50 years now, since he started playing as a 12 year old junior. But, his enthusiasm hasn’t died a bit and today, he participates in most of the Veterans’ Table tennis tournaments all over the country and abroad, including nationals. He has also won many prizes in Veterans’ category.
Yogesh has now taken initiative to help conduct of this Ranking Table tennis Tournament of the year 2016. And Khar Gymkhana, has come forward to host this tournament. While speaking to magzmumbai, Yogesh said that it was his privilege to help them conduct this prestigious tournament and hence agreed to offer all the help, for the smooth conduct of this tournament.
He has also invited suggestions from some experts , for proper scheduling of the matches. Though this tournament begins from 8th January 2016, Yogesh has arranged the match schedule of outstation players from 9th January onwards, so as to minimize their stay in the city. This three day tournament, which will be held between 8th and 10th January 2016, will witness many renowned TT players in action.
The tournament will be held under the auspices of Maharashtra State Veterans’ TT Association and MSDTTA and has received sponsorship and all the help from Khar Gymkhana.
