Khandwala,Khatri enter main draw


 

Raj Khandwala (-165 handicap) of Cricket Club of India came up with a calculated composed performance and managed to scrape past Chandresh Shah (-150) of Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana by a tight 200-194 points margin in a nail-biting third and final qualifying round (race to 200 points) match of the Chembur Gymkhana Handicap Billiards Tournament 2018, and played at the Chembur Gymkhana billiards hall.

 

The CCI cueist Khandwala produced multiple small breaks of 44, 35 and 52 which helped him to snatch the win and advance to the main draw. Shah had decent efforts of 34, 34 and 32.

 

Nashik’s Pankaj Khatri (-100) also qualified for the main draw after defeating Vishal Gehani (-165) of Park Club 200-64. Khatri managed breaks of 65 and 34, while Gehani’s best effort was a run of 40.
