Khandoba down Kenkre in exciting match


Khandoba TM, Kolhapur played with plenty of grit and determination and produced a solid fighting performance to put it across Kenkre FC, Mumbai 3-2 in an exciting boys’ under-14 quarter-final match of the 2nd WIFA Youth Boys (U-14) Championship 2018-19 and played at the Cooperage ground.

The Mumbai outfit took the lead through Rohit Mehra in the 26th minute but surrendered the initiative as the Kolhapur lads scored two goals in a span of 10 minute to take the lead. Prajwal Powar netted the equalizer in the 3th minute before Sanket Medhe scored the second in the 41st minute to put Khandoba in front.

 

Kenkre did well to restore parity through Daksh Sojitra’s strike in the 52nd minute, but in the very next minute the Kolhapur side struck one more through Swayam Salokhe to secure a deserving victory.

 

In another last eight match, KMP XI, Pune rode on Ravi Rathod’s 47th minute goal to overcome Nashik Football Coaching Centre, Nashik 1-0.
