Kenkre FC Under-19 came with a disciplined performance and romped to a convincing 3-1 win over Young Boys SC in a Super Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2016-2017, and played at the Goan Sports Association ground, Cross Maidan, on Sunday evening.
The Kenkre colts scored through Krishna Vijayan in the 41st minute, Alok Chavan in the 46th minute and Bent Fernandes in the 76th minute to clinch the win and the three points. Young Boys pulled one back through Shahbaz Ansari in the 54th minute.
Later in the evening, Sellebrity FC after making a positive start conceded two soft goals in the second half and went down rather tamely 1-3 to Springfield FC in another Super Division tie. Striker Jabin scored a brace of goals and Harsh one for Springfield, while Sellebrity had taken the lead through Mrudal Pawar.
