Striker Keegan Pereira was at his striking best and struck four goals in leading Fleet Footers to an emphatic 9-0 win against Friends United FC in a second round Group-A league match of the third Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL), conducted by the Borivali Sports Foundation, under the auspices of the MDFA and played at the St. Francis D’Assisi High School ground, Borivali (West).
Dominating the proceedings from the start, the defending champions Fleet Footers combined well and scored at regular intervals to knock the fight out of their opponents. Besides Keegan’s heroics, the other who contributed towards the win was Karan Amin, Dane Pereira, Tushar Poojary, Ashish Chavan and Grenville Murzello, all netting a goal each to complete the winning margin of victory.
Meanwhile, in a Group-B encounter, a determined Milan Club pulled off a tight 1-0 win against Vibrant FC. Milan Club’s striker Siddharth Nayak scored the only goal of the match midway through the first half.
