Kedar shines in Shivaji Park Supertstars win


 

Kedar Kango’s hard-hitting 55 with six fours and two sixes highlighted Shivaji Park Superstars’ 41 runs win over Mulund Master Blasters in  their first outing  in the 8-team  SAI-Mumbai Masters T-20 League, powered by- paradigm reality, at the Police Gymkhana’s floodlit ground here last night. Batting first,  the ‘Superstars’ put up 194 for six with Kedar hammering a  half century. Chasing 195 for win, the Mulund Blasters kept losing wickets at regular intervals and finished with 153 before they were all out.

In another tie,  played later, saw Chembur Strikers hitting up 214 for seven against Bandra Busters. The Chembur side’s  top order batsmen Pankay Asrani (38), Rohan Surve (45) and Aditya Khandilkar (40) gave them  a health total.  In reply, the Banda outfit, did put up terrific fight , bu in the end they fell short by 26 runs.
