Keanan Bhobe showed good overall soccer skills throughout the third edition of the Football Championship League, conducted by The Sports Gurukul (TSG) in association with Club Atletico Boca Juniors, at the Sree Narayana Guru College of Commerce in Chembur West.
The talented 10-year-old Keanan was declared overall winner for the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award. He produced some brilliant performance for Brave Bulls team in the under-12 category and caught the eye of the selectors. Keanan, a student of Ryan International School ICSE, Malad, has earned, an all-expenses paid training trip to the Boca Juniors Football Academy in Buenos Aires, Argentina
A total of 36 more players were chosen for a 1 month scholarship for coaching under international coaches in Mumbai and amongst them six more will get the opportunity to get partial scholarship to visit Argentina. The training in Argentina will be in the month of May 2018.
The biggest attraction was 8- year-old Jess Bhobe from Ryan International ICSE School, Malad, emerged as the highest goal-scorer with 26 goals from 8 matches, across all age groups.
The most valuable player of the entire tournament was 11-year-old Ishant Vora from Utpal Shanghvi school, Juhu who was selected from amongst the entire 400 participants.
The Fair Play award was presented to the Brave bulls Under-team from Boca Football School, Mumbai.
