Dabang Delhi has outstanding raiders; each well suited for the rigours and challenges presented by the spectacle that the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) has evolved in to. After Surjeet Narwal outshone everyone in Season 1, Rohit Kumar Chowdhury has been a brilliant find this year. Supplementing them though, is the calm and warrior-like figure of Kashiling Adake.
Nonchalant in his approach, he combines resolve with aggression and has stood out for the Dabangs. Those in fact who feared his innate integrity might make him soft have been proved wrong and his performance against Telugu Titans in the last home match stands testimony to the same.
Not only did he take the attack to the all conquering team from Hyderabad, but also instilled this belief in his own defenders that restricting their dominating opponent raiders wasn’t merely an aspiration. In process, he set a new league record of scoring 24 points in a game and also breached a crucial personal milestone that of 200 raid points in Star Sports PKL (Seasons 1 and 2 combined).
Talking after the game, he said, “It’s a great feeling. Performing for your team is always extremely satisfying for any sportsperson and I am no different and will continue to give my best in the upcoming games.
Having said that, I would have been happier had the match against the Titans (Telugu) gone our way but we still have to play 2 more games, needless to say I’m looking forward to them,” he asserted, exuding belief that the team can still make it to the finale on August 20.
His optimism isn’t misplaced though, for if he can indeed continue in Bengaluru from where he left last in Delhi, the Dabangs would most certainly make the play-offs.
