Karnatak Sporting Association continued with their impressive run of winning form and charged to an authoritative 3-1 victory against Premier India Football Academy (PIFA) in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019 and played at the Cooperage football ground.
The Academy outfit stunned their more superior rivals with a snap goal scored by Satish Thevar in the 23rd minute to enjoy a slender 1-0 lead.
However, the Karnatak side made a strong reply and quickly restored parity when striker Johnson D’Silva slotted home the equalizer five minutes later.
Karnatak SA continued to press forward and snatch the lead with Sanchit Singh scoring the second goal in the 42nd minute before Aashish Lalge fired home the third in the first minute of additional period in the first half.
In the second session, both teams created chances, but failed to convert and the match finished in a satisfying 3-1 win for the Karnatak outfit.
