The Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) will be conducting the The Karnatak Sporting Association is organizing 2nd Late Shri Vishwanath Anchan Memorial Veterans Football Tournament 2018, at the Karnatak SA ground, Cross Maidan, from January 26 to February 3, 2018. The tournament is being sponsored by Ravi Anchan, brother of Late Vishwanath Anchan.
The KSA organizing committee has decided to restrict entries to the first 16 team on a first-cum-first basis. Teams will have to comprise of players of 45 years of age and over. The entry fee is Rs 7,000.
The tournament will be played on a league-cum-knockout format with the 16 teams being divided into four pools of four teams each. The top teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
The Winners and Runners-up will be presented with handsome trophies and cash awards of Rs 50,000 and 35,000 respectively. The Third place winner will receive Rs 15,000 and the Fourth place team will also be rewarded with a prize.
