Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) produced a domineering performance to register an authoritative 5-0 win against PIFA Sports (Colaba) FC in a one-sided Elite Division match of the Mumbai Football Association (MFA) League, played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Monday evening.
The hero of KSA’s emphatic victory was their impressive striker Sanchit Singh who notched a fine hat-trick. Singh scored his first goal in the sixth minute of first half additional period and then scored two more goals in the 65th and 70th minutes. KSA’s other two goals came through the efforts of Roger Anthony in the 43rd and 65th minutes.
In another Elite Division encounter, Mumbai Knights JMJ Sports Club got the better of Protrack Sporting Club by a narrow 2-1 margin, with all three goals coming inside the first half hour. Nayan Kajve 12th minute and Shanon Pereira 16th minute scored for JMJ Sports Club before Sylvester D’Mello struck the lone goal for the losing side in the 28th minute.
Earlier, in a First Division encounter, Leon D’Souza’s first half goal enabled Jupiter FC to overcome Springfield FC by a close 1-0 margin.
Result – First Division: Jupiter FC 1 (Leon D’Souza) beat Springfield FC 0.
Elite Division: Mumbai Knights JMJ Sports Club 2 (Nayan Kajve, Shanon Pereira) beat Protrack Sporting Club 1 (Sylvester D’Mello).
