Karnatak SA outplay Bombay Gym


 

Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) produced a strong determined performance and outplayed Bombay Gymkhana winning by a comfortable 2-0 margin in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019 and played at the Cooperage football stadium.

 

The KSA outfit showed good coordination and teamwork dominated play from the start but were found guilty of wasting easy sitters in the first half and the score was goalless at the break.

 

However, after changing sides, KSA showed more intent and greater purpose and were rewarded with two goals. Faiz Khan slotted home the first and later consistent scorer Tushar Poojary netted the second to secure KSA’s victory.

 

In a one-sided encounter, U. Mumbai eased to a facile 9-1 win against a halpless Mumbai Muslims. Strikers Sagar Khanvilkar and Nachiket Palav both scored a brace of goals each while Pankaj Mishra, Leander Dharmai,  Mayur Sunare, Prakash Bist and Daniel Muttu netted one each to complete U. Mumba’s big win while Mumbai Muslims scored a late consolation goal through Shlok Pabale.
