Otters’ Kanisha Gupta and Khar Gymkhana’s Neel Roy produced stupendous show as they rewrote six new records between themselves as 14 new marks were set on the opening day of the Otters Club’s 31st Open Swimming Championships, held at their pool, at Bandra on Saturday.

While Kenisha emerged supreme in the girls under-13 events with three –record-breaking efforts in 100m breaststroke, 100m butterfly and 200m individual medley, Neel dominated the boys uinder-15 section, establishing new marks in 100m backstroke, 100m freestyle and 200m individual medley in the under 15 section..

Khar Gymkhana’s rising star Jason Smith, making his mark in the men’s category, clinched gold in the 100m backstroke with a timing of 59.98 secs , which was better than Prikshit Shetty’s 2004 timing of 01:01.81 secs.
