Mumbai District FA were rewarded for their hard work as they managed to snatch a deserving 1-0 win against Pune District FA in a tense and keenly fought final of the Maharashtra State Sub-Junior Boys Inter-District Football Championship at the PDFA ground, Pune on Sunday evening.

Consistent scorer Kamran Ansari once proved his worth as he scored the lone winning goal in the second half which enabled Mumbai to emerge champions.
The Mumbai lad Kamran was later declared as the Best Midfielder of the tournament, while Jahan Walia won the ‘Player of the final’ awards.
Result (final): Mumbai DFA 1 (Kamran Ansari) beat Pune DFA 0.
Semi-finals): Mumbai DFA 2 (Kamran Ansari, Jahan Walia) beat Nagpur DFA 0.
Pune DFA 3 (Edwin Falero, Ratan Ausarmal, Chris Unnithan) beat Nashik DFA 1 (Aniket Avhad).
