Kalina United dished out an impressive display to tame Air India Colony 2-0 in a Men’s round-robin league match of the 17th Kalina Football League 2017, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Church Sports Committee, and played at the Our Lady of Egypt Church grounds, Kalina. Strikers Sai Khambe and Bunty Gowda were bang on target with a goal each for the United side.
Meanwhile, former champions Kalina Village Boys also enjoyed a successful outing as they scored an identical 2-0 win against KVB Trapich in another Men’s league match. Cletus Chandrasekhar and Dan Dias netted a goal apiece to secure the win for the Village Boys.
In another league match, FC Kolovery (Z3) got the better of Egyptian Boys by a fluent 3-1 margin. For the victors, Madan Taklaikar struc k a brace of goals and Innocent Fernandes got one, while Russell Jacinto scored for the losing side.
