JVPG-ISP Squash Championship at the JVPG squash courts- Final day

Ganesh Kadam and Abhishek Agarwal, both emerged champions winning the Men’s Open and Men’s Top-8 titles respectively, in the Rs 75,000 prize-money JVPG-ISP Squash Championship, the 116th tournament to be organised by the Indian Squash Professionals (ISP), and played at the JVPG squash courts.

In the Men’s Open final, second seed Kadam produced a dominant performance and throughout had things under control against joint 3-4th seed Nilesh Pal and cruised to a fluent 11-8, 11-4, 11-8 victory.

In the Men’s Top-8 final, the top-seeded Agarwal also enjoyed a good outing as he sidelined second seed Tushar Shahani posting quite a comfortable 11-7, 11-8, 11-9 triumph.
Meanwhile, Amritpal Singh Kohli also found success bagging the Men’s Over 35 title. Kohli showed great form to easily put it across Sachin Jadhav to complete a smooth 11-3, 11-7, 11-3 victory in the final.

In the Men’s Doubles Top-8 competition, the fourth-seeded pair of Sanjay Pawar and Samir Mistry continued with their fine run of form as they overcame third seeds Sachin Jadhav and Amritpal Kohli in three games winning at 17-16, 13-15, 15-12 in the final and clinch the top honours.
