Striking prime form Jyoti FC blanked Sanchita FC 3-0 in a league match of the Colaba Sports League and played at the Cooperage ground. Marquee player John Coutinho scored a brace of goals in the second half after Dharmendra Baria had given Jyoti a first half lead.

Former Mumbai FC midfielder Coutinho played an inspirational role as he controlled the play and ensured that Jyoti dominated possession in midfield. On the other hand Sanchita were well-served by their central midfielder Mithlesh Tandel who worked tirelessly to help his team put up a strong fight. Despite his team finishing on a losing note, he was later declared ‘Player of the match’.
Jyoti FC against the run of play took the lead with Baria finding the target midway through the first half. Enjoying a slender lead at the break, Jyoti FC came back stronger in the second period and Coutinho stamped his authority with two snap goals during this period to close out the match.
