Junior Rangers proved better marksmen as they got the better of Kalina Village Boys 6-5 via the tie-breaker penalty shootout to lift the Boys’ Under-16 crown, in the 16th Kalina Football League (KFL), organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Parish Church Sports Committee, and played at the Our Lady of Egypt Church ground, Kalina. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.

In a lively and entertaining title clash, Rangers did well to grab the upper hand initially with two quick strikes from Aaron D’Sa and Keegan Pinto to go into the break with a healthy 2-0 lead.
But Rangers were unable to sustain the momentum after switching ends and Village Boys fought back with Laban Pereira scoring two goals to draw level and force the tie-breaker.
In the penalty shootout duel, Rangers successfully converted through Ivan Fernandes, Tilak Shetty, Aaron Lobo and Siddharth Shukla while Village Boys could only convert three of their attempts through Aldrin Fernandes, Amaan Khan and Faizan Shaikh.
Results – Boys’ Under-6 (finals): Junior Rangers 6 (Aaron D’sa, Keegan Pinto, Ivan Fernandes, Tilak Shetty, Aaron Lobo, Siddharth Shukla) beat Kalina Village Boys 5 (Laban Pereira 2, Aldrin Fernandes, Amaan Khan, Faizan Shaikh).
