Defending champions Junior Kalina Rangers were in terrific scoring as they stormed past Inspiring Humanity by a thumping 6-0 margin in a Boy’s Under-16 semi-final match of the 17th Kalina Football League 2017, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Church Sports Committee, and played at the Our Lady of Egypt Church grounds, Kalina. Striker Keegan Pinto led Rangers charge with two goals. Shubham D., Ivan Fernandes and Natan D’Costa added one each to round off the winning tally and carry Rangers to the summit round.
In the second semi-final match, Air India Colony overcame Kalina Village Boys 2-0. Girish Rane and Eshwar Gaikwad struck a goal each to seal the Colony boys win and set up a clash with Rangers in the final.
