Juhu Strikers hit good form to record a comfortable 3-1 win against United Brothers in a Second Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League – 2014-15, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday.
The Juhu outfit enjoyed a clear edge over their rivals and took an early lead with John Rodrigues finding the back of the net in 12th minute. After changing ends, Juhu Strikers doubled the lead through Tushar Bhosle’s strike in the 48th minute before Siddesh Batwale scored the third goal in the 52nd minute. In between those two goals, United Brothers managed to reduce the margin of defeat through an Edelbert Martis goal in the 49th minute.
