With Mumbai Ranji opener Jay Bista in terrific form, notching up his third successive score over 50, Mumbai Police Cityriders chased down defending champions Ghatkopar Jets’ 175 for five in 16.2 overs to record second win in their third outing in the double-leg Mitsui Shoji T-20 League, sponsored by Lal Bharwaney and held at Police Gymkhana ground,here today.
Bista, who had scored 53 in the Cityriders opening tie which they had lost to Bandra Heroes, thus redeemed themselves, by scoring over defending champions by six wickets. Bista hit up 74 in today’s win.
Bandra Heroes, who had beaten the Cityriders in the opener , but had lost to Ghatkopar Jets, outplayed Thane Marathas for their second win today. Bandra have also beaten shivaji Park Warriors also.
