Orlem Super Cup:
Shailesh Jadhav showed great opportunism by notching up a fine hat-trick which enabled Holy Cross, Kurla comfortably defeat Sacred Heart, Andheri 3-0 in their opening match of the Dhoot Developers sponsored 5th All-Mumbai Inter-Parish football tournament for the ‘Orlem Super Cup’, organised by the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Orlem and at the Church grounds.
In another match, St. Andrew’s, Bandra blanked Our Lady of the Sea ‘B’, Madh Island 2-0 with Joshua Versaonkar and Raunak Killinger scoring a goal each for the the Bandra parish.
In the third match, Gonsalo Garcia, Vasai tamed St. Anthony’s, Sakinaka 3-0.
Results – Men’s Open (1st round): St. Andrews, Bandra 2 (Joshua Vesaonkar, Raunak Killinger) beat Our Lady of the Sea, Madh Island 0; Gonsalo Garcia, Vasai 3 (Melroy Assisi 2, Xavier A.) beat St. Anthony, Sakinaka 0; Holy Cross, Kurla 3 (Shailesh Jadhav 3) beat Sacred Heart, Andheri 1 (Viral D.).
