Ishant Vora’s fine hat-trick and Aurivik Shah’s double strikes helped Lion Kings to tame Roaring Tigers 8-2 in a Boys’ Under-12 match of the Football Championship League, organised by The Sports Gurukul (TSG) in association with Club Atletico Boca Juniors at the Sree Narayana Guru College of Commerce in Chembur (West). Dhruv Thawani, Stefan Correia and Ali Asgar scored one each to round off the tally for Lions while Harsha Bagale scored both the goals for Roaring Tigers.
In a Boys’ U-14 match, Fearless Sharks managed to pull off a 3-1 win against Roaring Tigers. Ayush Mehta scored a brace of goals and Aakansh S. got one for the winners, while (Nikhil M. scored the lone goal for the losing side.
Lion Kings with a clean record of four wins from four games for a total of 12 points lead the U-12 category, while the U-14 table is headed by Fearless Sharks with 10 points from five games.
