Iron Born FC Under-21 outfit showed excellent coordination and perfect understanding and went on to hand Boxer FC a 4-0 defeat in Second Division match of the Mumbai Football Association (MFA) League 2023-2024 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Friday.
Pranav Dhebare played the lead role scoring two goals which was the highlight of Iron Born’s fluent victory. Mohd Ansari and Rehan Mondal struck the other two goals to complete the margin of victory.
Earlier in the day, Rising Sun FC managed to get the better of The Soccer FC by a fighting 3-2 scoreline in a tense and exciting match of the same division. Rising Sun FC were well-served by striker Abdul Kaim Khan who netted a brace of goals and Akash Gupta who got one crucial goal. The Soccer FC who put up a spirited fight managed to score two goals through Riyaz Razi and Harsh Soni.
In the third match of the day, SC Cincholi proved too good for Friends United FC and romped to a comfortable 3-0 win. Strikers Karan Surve, Donald Koli and Deen Ansari were bang on target by scoring one goal apiece to secure their easy win.
