India’s PV Sindhu into the Finals of World Badminton Championship


Very determined from the beginning India’s fastest shuttle Queen entered the finals of World Badminton Championship at Scotland late in the evening ( Scotland time) and early morning hours in India today. Sindhu was in great form today, as she literally dominated her opponent in two straight games.

After winning the first game at 21-13, Sindhu took huge early lead in the second game 8-0 and 13-4 to march ahead and win the game and match at 21-10. It took only 47 minutes for Sindhu to win this crucial match. She now meets Nozomi Okuhara in the finals today evening.  Nozomi had defeated  India’s Saina Nehwal  in other semi finals.

 

So, it will be a good match to watch in the women’s singles final , with the hope that Sindhu will not leave thuis golden chance to win the World Championship. Wishing her all the best. Today’s finals will start at 1 pm Scotland time & 5.30 pm Indian time with Women’s doubles event , but Sindhu’s match is scheduled as 2nd match is expected to start around 6.30 pm, followed by Men’s Singles finals.
