Indian Juniors put up an inspired performance to advance to the quarter finals of the ongoing Belgium Junior and Cadet open which is a part of the ITTF World Jr Circuit, according to information received here.

In the junior boy’s category Manush Shah beat Karlsson Filip of Sweden 13-15, 11-8, 12-10, 5-11, 12-10, 11-7 in a closely contested match, while Manav Thakkar also beat another Swedish player by a 4-2 margin.

Meanwhile Archana Kamath managed to keep her nerves and get the better of her German opponent Fischer Elli 4-3 in the junior girls category. Archana bounced back after losing the first game to win the next two games 11-6, 11-6. With her opponent also playing equally well to take the match into the decider, Archana upped her game when it mattered to win 8-11, 11-6, 11-6, 6-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-8. Moumita Dutta managed to beat her French opponent Pauly Prost Amelie by a comfortable 4-2 margin and then went on to win her doubles match partnering Selina Selvakumar. Archana and Mouma will face Vukelic Marta and Pavlovic Andrea of Croatia respectively.
