India bags 2 bronze at 17th Asian Skating Championship 2016


  India celebrated Diwali with a big bash with the first ever International medal gifted from Nikhilesh Tabhane, Vikram Ingale and Dhanush Babu at 17th Asian Skating Championship 2016 held at Lishui, China.

The trio bagged 2 bronze for India in Rink 3000m Relay and Road 5000m Relay. The trio also created history for Indian Skating talent and Fans by wining first ever Asian Medal for the very first time.

 Nikhilesh Tabhane, was passionate and dedicated towards the sport since his childhood. By seeing his talent, passion and dedication towards sport, he got more knowledge about the sport from the National Level Coach Mr. Pravin Deshpande, all the hard work showered by his Coach paid of when he started raising the Indian Skating Standards in National Championships in the past.

The 50th National Champioship held at Virar’s, Ameya International Roller Skating Center, Yashwant Nagar. Nikhilesh succeeded in making the National Record and also Conquering the title of “India’s Fastest Skater” in the sport.

By seeing such passion, dedication and talent in the sport, Vasai – Virar’s First Mayor Mr. Rajeev Patil gave him a platform to carry forward his career in the sport upto the International Level, he got sponsored through Ameya Classic Club, with all the necessary support from the club since 3 Years Nikhilesh is training on Ameya International Roller Skating Center with all of his hard work and dedication towards sport his training made his most awaited dream of Indian Skating Standard came true.

 Due to lack of management and coordination in selection committee for the Asian Skating Championships Nikhilesh was not able to participate in Individual race which is 300meter sprint at the 17th Asian Skating Championship 2016.

By participating in relay race he created history and as well as he bagged the medal in it, for his achievement at international level there is joy, celebration among the Indian Skating Fraternity and Nikhilesh & Team India is been appreciated and congratulated over all India.

The First Mayor of Vasai – Virar Mr. Rajeev Patil and Director of Ameya Classic Club Ms. Grishma Patil had given their appreciation and congratulated Nikhilesh and Team India’s achievement.
As Nikhilesh is about to return on 4th November 2016 to India, Ameya Classic Club has planned a Welcoming Procession and Celebration of his achievement.
