Khar Gymkhana’s 14-year-old cueist Sumehr Mago shared the major responsibility and produced some impressive performances by winning all his three frames in guiding KG ‘C’ team to 3-0 home, and 3-1 away victories against DPCG ‘Scientists’ in Section-O league, during the third week of the Z3 Zodiac Clothing & Otters Club-BSAM Snooker League 2018, organized by the Billiards and Snooker Association of Maharashtra.
Khar Gymkhana’s 14-year-old cueist Sumehr Mago inspired KG ‘C’ to fluent wins in Section-O league matches of the Z3 Zodiac Clothing & Otters Club-BSAM Snooker League 2018.
The talented teenager Sumehr (handicap +40) made optimum advantage of the home tables and easily defeated DPCG’s Rehan Daruwala (+60) 99-61 in the second 15-Red singles frame. Earlier, Sahil Kakkad (+50) proved too good for Karl Malao (+60) and romped to a comfortable 122-87 win in the first 15-Red singles tie. Later, Khar Gym’s pair of Jogesh Chimmani and Garv Kalwani (+36) combined perfectly to overcome Zeus Chapkhanawala and Yohan Malao (+36) 79-56 to complete the win at home.
Later in the away fixture, Khar Gym once again enjoyed complete control with Sumehr providing them with an ideal start defeating Yohan Malao (+60) 104-102 in the opening frame. DPCG team finally won a frame when their doubles combination of Hormuz Pardiwala and Rehan Daruwala (+36) managed to prevailed over the Khar Gym duo of Karan Rao and Jogesh Chimmani (+33) 79-41 to level the scores at 1-all.
However, Sumehr and his elder brother Harmehr won the next two frames to wrap up the match and complete win. Harmehr (+30) scored over Zeus Chapkhanawala (+60) 81-71 and Sumehr got the better of Rehan Daruwala (+60) 92-81.
Meanwhile, Khar Gym’s senior team, KG ‘A’, had things much their own way and blanked Radio ‘Avengers’ by 3-0 margins in the home and away Section-J encounters.
