IES (Bandra) beat Swami Vivekanand on spin of coin


Swami Vivekanand (Kandivali), one of the strong favourites for the top honours, were tossed out of the competition by IES (Bandra) in the pre-quarterfinals of of the Poinsur Gymkhana Inter-School cricket tournament at their ground at Kandivali today. Both teams ended their innings with 136 runs and the resultant toss saw the Bandra school captain calling correctly.

In another tie, a stylish unbeaten knock of 62 by one down Aayush Prasad featured in IES (Kandivali West)’s facile win over Abhinav Education with six wickets in hand. Replying to Abhinav’s score of 142, IES (Kandivali) started impressively with lanky Aayush treating both spin and pace alike as he hammered 10 fours in his 62 to steer his side through.
