Hindu Gymkhana ‘B’ team represented by Mahendra Chiplunkar, Abhay Mehta, Sanjay Mehta, Prakash Kelkar, Sanjay Nemlekar, Dr. Anagha Joshi, Miten Khatau & Leroy D’sa had a reason to celebrate yesterday evening. Their TT team won the inaugural Inter- Club Invitation Table Tennis Tournament at their premises last night. The tournament for South Mumbai clubs was held to celebrate 125 years of PJ.Hindu Gymkhana. The hosts scored a 3-2 well deserved win over Garware Club House team-2 in a closely contested finals.

Earlier in the evening Hindu Gymkhana ‘A’ team lost 0- 3 to Garware Club House team-2 , with all three well fought matches, while Garware Club House Team -1 lost the B team of hosts in the semi finals. Eight teams had participated in this invitational TT tournament. Besides Hosts, garware Club House had also entered two teams . The other participating teams were Student YMCA, CCI, Malabar Hill Club & Radio Club. And they were divided into two groups. Two teams from each group after playing league among themselves, qualified for semi finals at Knock out stage.
