Larsen & Toubro and HDFC are among the top 16 teams in fray for the P-3 Sports’ 3rd Mumbai Inter-Corporate Table tennis team as well as open table tennis tournament to be held at Khar Gymkhana on Saturday (August 20) and Sunday (August 21). The organisers have received 64 entries in the open singles and doubles events.
The 18 teams will be divided into four groups each of four teams with top two teams going into the knock-out stage. The matches during the league phase will be played on best-of-three games basis, while in the knockout stage it will be best of five games. Each team can comprise minimum of two and maximum of five.
The open events will comprise men’s, women’s and veteran (plus 40) singles and doubles. While in the. paired events, players can take partners from other than from their own teams.
