Last week, Khar Gymkhana’s 8th-floor courts were abuzz with excitement, as six teams clashed in the KGWPBL Season 4, a celebration of women in Pickleball. The participating teams, owned by Maks Pickleball, HB Sports, Get Out of My Kitchen, Davakhar Foundation, Synova, and Trivision, showcased their skills and teamwork, making the event a resounding success.
Team HB Sports led by Arpna won Gold medal and Trophy, beating Team Synova Smashers led by Unaiza Punjabi, as they carried home Silver medal. Team Maks Pickleball led by Aakanksha took home Bronze medal.
Young renowned table tennis player Pranjal Shinde, who was part of the winning team, was more than happy to share her happiness. Speaking to Magzmumbai about her entry in this new sport, she said, “ I srarted playing Pickleball few months ago in my MCF club and really enjoyed this game. When I first won prize in our internal home tournament in doubles two months ago, my friends suggested me to enter outside competitions and that’s how I played here at Khar Gymkhana.”

The KGWPBL Season 4 was a testament to the growing popularity of Pickleball among women, and the participants are looking forward to many more exciting seasons to come. All the participants have appreciated the efforts of the Tournament Directors, Shaks Devnani and Dr. Bela Kotwani , for providing supreme Hospitality and the delicious food arrangements. Special thanks to president, Gaurav Kapadia, and team, as well as the entire Pickleball committee, for their unwavering support. They also thanked the team of markers for their tireless work, and the housekeeping staff and electricians for ensuring a smooth event.
