Cricket Club of India’s Hassan Badami maintained his superb winning streak recording another quick straight-frame 4-0 win against Ibrahim Sheikh (KVSC) in a quarter-final match of the Senior men’s snooker event of the BSAM organized Maharashtra State Junior Snooker and Senior Snooker & Billiards Selection (leg 1) Championship – 2019, played at the Bombay Gymkhana billiards room on Tuesday.
The unassuming Badami was cool and calculated and constructed a break of 75 in the second frame as he breezed to a 48-03, 91-31, 53-29 and 53-28 frame score win and book his place in the semi-final.
Rayaan Razmi of Radio Club, who won the Maharashtra’s Junior snooker title in the first leg, also progressed to the last four scoring an authoritative 4-1 win against NSCI billiards marker Ajinkya Yelve in another quarter-final encounter. The 17-year-old Rayaan potted steadily and consistently to roll out a 77-33, 33-57, 57-16, 69-40 and 64-27 win.
