A dominant U.K. United after several missed chances initially finally succeeded in scoring twice in the second session to complete a runaway 2-0 victory against Maccabi FC in a hard-fought men’s quarter-final round match for the Late Darryl Crasto Memorial Trophy in the Catholic Gymkhana Annual Rink Football tournament. Shravan Shetty and seasoned striker Agnello Picardo scored a goal each to fashion United’s win and a passage to the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, in women’s semi-final competition for the Late Dereyk DeSouza Trophy, Prajakta Tamekar showed good scoring form to hit the target twice in Bodyline FC’s facile 3-0 win against Football Leaders SC. Reetika Sahani netted the other goal to seal Bodyline win.

In the summit clash, Bodyline will take on Bandra Packers who overcame Companeroes SC by a 3-2 margin. Pooja Dhumal, Snehal Manchakar and Namrata Thakur scored a goal apiece to complete Packers win while Companeroes scored through Shalene D’Souza and Roshel Coutinho.

In a veteran men’s contest for the Late Neville D’Souza Trophy, Iqbal Nabi’s fine hat-trick was the highlight of M.K. Boys 3-0 win against Royalers, Juhu in a quarter-final match.
