Good response for IMPTTA – National Masters’ TT


The forthcoming Indian Master Players Table Tennis Association’s (IMPTTA)  National Masters Table Tennis Championship has received very good response form almost 600 players from 23 states from India, till date. Today was the last date for accepting entries and the tournament begins from 20th January 2025 at Mumbai’s Andheri Sports Complex, at Azad Nagar, Veera Desai Road.

There will be team championship event for men and women above the age of 39 years in different age categories, besides the individual singles, doubles and mixed doubles events. The IMPTTA – Maharashtra unit had conducted four state ranking Masters’ TT tournaments during the year 2024 and teams have been selected as per the player’s ranking in each age group category.

Good prize money will be offered in prizes, besides offering trophies to winners in team and Singles. Medals will be presented to the winners, runners up and semi finalists in all the events. According to Mr. Samir Bhate Hon. Secretary of IMPTTA, elaborate arrangements will be made at the venue to conduct this big All India tournament. Top Master players who have won the national Masters’ Championship and those who have won medals at the International Masters’ Championship will be participating in this tournament. “ This is the tournament organised ‘by the players for the players’ and therefore we look forward to a very good competition in all the events. Different committees have been formed for the smooth conduct of this tournament. Last Sunday the committee members spent the whole day towards planning, displaying a good team spirit.” he added.
