Athletes from Goenka Educational Trust made them proud by garnering 310 points to annex the overall team championships, in the Poinsur Gymkhana’s 42 Annual Utter Mumbai Krida Mahotsav-2017, which concluded at their gymkhana here today. Earlier in the YMCA meet last week Goenka Trust have claimed the women’s team honours.

Both their Siya Sawant (10 points) in girls and Roydon Silverira (8 pts), who were adjudged the best in the under-12 age group, were the architect in the Goenka Trust emerging top in the total point tally. Goenka Trust won 18 golds, out of which 17 were claimed by their juniors. .In addition they also claimed 17 silver and 10 bronze medals as well that ensured them the team honours.
Overall Team Champions : 1. Goenka Edu Trust (Goregaon)- 310 pts. 2. Children’s Academy SC – 274 pts; 3. VPM Sports Club (Dahisar) – 208.

MEN: Nimesh Desai and Valentine Fernandes (both from Gupta SA) and Anand Gond (Shailendra Edu. Society) – 10 pts each. WOMEN Melanie Rodrigues and Anam Kasmani (both from Holy Cross SC)- 10 pts each).
BOYS: U-16: Meet Patel (Children’s Academy SC) – 14 pts. U-14: Jeya Vishwa Nadar (Chembur Trackmasters) – 11 pts. U-12: Roydon Silverira (Goenka Edu Trust) and Eldridge Fernandes (Savio SC)– 8 pts each. U-10: Nihar Sharma (Prime Academy) and Vihaan Sylya (Individual) – 11 pts . U-8: Aditya Bhagwat (VPM SC, Dahisar) – 10 pts.
