Left arm spinner Ganesh Alve bagged five wickets to help MCC (Blue) beat Jwala Sports Foundation for their second win on the third day of the five-team double leg Twister-MCC-Pro40 League-season-3 at the Oval Maidan, here today.

MCC (Blue), who batted first hit up 195 with Rishabh Upadyay (33) and Rupesh Sarukte (38) being their main contributors. In reply Jwala Sports Foundation failed to counter the leftarm spinner Ganesh Alve’s tantalising spell and were dismissed for 123 with Ganesh claiming five for 34. For the Jwala SF, Sachin Upadhyay top scored with 44.
In the other tie at the adjacent plot, MCC (Green) hit up 273 against MCC (Red), thanks to 64 penalty runs as their opponent bowled four overs shot. In reply, the MCC (Red) fell short by 85 runs. For the Greens Anurag Yadav hit up unbeaten 77 with nine fours, while Swapnil Bewalkar’s 77 with 12 fours went in vain.
