The FC Mumbaikars side which is being mentored and coached by former Indian mid-fielder Steven Dias made impressive strides at start but due to an error in defense, the FCM side conceded an own goal in the 17th minute by Biki Mondal trying to clear the ball. The Mumbai outfit tried to get back in to groove and overcome the early goal, however they couldn’t manage to equalize and held equal position with the FSI till half time.

FCM continued to look out for an equalizer during the opening of the second half with few impressive penetrations. However, it was left to FSI’s striker Zaid Khan who took advantage of a porous midfield in the 62nd minute and solely dodged the defense on the right flank crossing an advancing skipper Chinmay Shirke from the box to go two-up. FSI clearly looked the superior side in the second essay and despite attempts to add to the tally the young FCM failed to add to the scoreboard.

Results: FSI (Biki Mondal OG, Zaid Khan 62nd min) 2-0 FC Mumbaikars.
