The IndusInd Indian Team came up with a solid all-round performance to record a crushing 10-wicket win against England in league match of the T20 World Cup cricket for the blind at played at New Delhi on Thursday.
The defending champions fielding first after England had elected to bat first bowled steadily. They bundled out their opponents England for a paltry 158 at the end of the 19.4 overs. Edward James Hossell and Justin Hollingsworth scored 57 (34 balls) and 24 (17 balls) respectively. For India CAB Ketan Patel picked up 2 and Venkateswara Rao D, Jafar Iqbal, SonuGolkar and Sunil picking 1 each.
In reply, the openers of India CAB showed exemplary batsmen skills with Sukhram Majhi 67n.o. (32 balls) including 12 boundaries, and Ganesh Babubhai Mundakar 78n.o. (34 balls) with 15 spectacular boundaries, chasing the target in just 11 overs.
Meanwhile, New Zealand Blindcaps took on the Australia BCA. Australia won by 8 wickets. New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat and were able to put up a score of 168/1 in 20 overs. In the second innings, Australia were able to chase the target in just 10.2 overs.
In another match, Sri Lanka CAB lost to Pakistan Blind Cricket Team by 5 wickets. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Sri Lanka put up a target of 164 at the end of 20 overs. In the second innings, Pakistan chased the score in 17.1 overs for the loss of 5 wickets.
In the match between South Africa and Nepal Team, the latter won by 6 wickets.
