South Mumbai United scored a hard-fought 1-0 win against Kenkre FC in a Women’s Super Division match of the Mumbai Football Association (MFA) League 2022-2023 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Saturday morning.
Striker Florian Pereira scored the decisive goal in the 24th minute to give South Mumbai United the lead which the managed to hold on to till the final whistle to come out trumps. Kenkre FC tried their best and had their chances but failed to convert and that cost them the match.
Later, in a one-sided Women’s encounter, Rising Sun FA were a dominant lot and blanked SPORKO CFCI by a convincing 4-0 margin. Strikers Shareiva Kadam, Saniya Shaikh, Nitya Bharti and Bindya Verma, all combined perfectly and scored a goal each to complete the winning tally.
In another women’s match, Young Guns FC and SC Bacaim shared honours as they played out a 1-1 draw. Minakshee Bhagat was on target for Young Guns, while SC Bacaim scored through Mehan Leah.

Bombay Tigers Challengers 2 (Deepak Sharma) beat Kandivali FC 1 (OG-Tushar Chavan).
