The Maharashtra ‘A’ teams progressed to the cadet girls and sub-junior boys quarter-final round of the 11Even Sports 78th Cadet and Sub-Junior National Table Tennis Championships.
In the cadet girls pre-quarter-final round, Maharashtra girls outclassed Chandigarh by coasting to a comfortable 3-0 win, while the state lads also cruised to an easy 3-0 win against Uttar Pradesh in the sub-junior boys last 16 round match at the SMC Indoor Stadium on Friday.
However, the Maharastra ‘B’ outfits were knocked out with the girls losing tamely 0-3 to Uttar Pradesh and the boys going down by a same 0-3 scoreline to West Bengal.
