Former international carrom player and administrator Prakash Rele, 78 years, passed away all of a sudden after suffering a cardiac arrest late on Wednesday evening. He is survived by his wife Leena and two sons.
Rele had represented India in a test series against Sri Lanka in 1960. He was also the Joint Secretary of the Maharashtra Carrom Association and was one of the members who was instrumental in redrafting the Laws of Carrom and he was also an international carrom umpire.
The funeral rites took place in Borivali on Wednesday.
