EX- Income Tax Official, Former TT player and Musician Jayant Adenwale is no more


 

EX- Assistant Commissioner of Income tax, former TT Player,  and well Known musician Jayant Adenwale is no more. He passed away two days ago after prolonged illness. He was 83. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, sons in law and grandchildren.

Multi talented Jayant  Adenwale  had developed a lot of interest in music and played mouth organ exceptionally well.  After taking voluntary retirement from his job, he joined music director Ram-Laxman group and played mouth organ for many of his songs composed for Rajashree Films. His long piece of music in the form of mouth organ can be heard in the songs of Ram Laxman films and particularly the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’.

Mr. Adenwale’s solo music albums on mouth organ were released by Krunal music in the past. Being a former Table Tennis player at the State level, he also participated in the tournaments played at P.J. Hindu Gymkhana, even at 70+. He was a regular at the Gymkhana and took active interest in organization of tournaments. In the past, he had served on the managing committee of Maharashtra State Table Tennis Association, Kshatriya Union Club, Dadar  &  P.J. Hindu Gymkhana.

 

During his service with Income tax department, he was very active with Income Tax Sports Club and was instrumental in offering jobs to young talented sportspersons in Income Tax on sports quota. He had very good contacts with top people from different fields. With his sad demise, the table tennis and music fraternity have lost a great helpful person.
