Entries are invited for the Suhas Nadkarni Memorial Maharashtra State Open Badminton Tournament 2023 to be hosted and organized by the MIG Cricket Club, Bandra from May 30 to June 3, 2023. This tournament, organized under the Chairmanship of Dr. Ajit Desai will be conducted under the auspices of the Maharashtra Badminton Association, and is open for participants from across the state of Maharashtra.
Competition will be conducted in five open categories, which includes singles events for boys’ and girls’ under-17 (born on or after 1st January 2007). The other three categories include, Women doubles (70+ years combination), Men’s doubles (80+ years combination) and Men’s doubles (90+ years combination). In addition to the open events, the main attraction of this tournament will be the team championship, which is certain to witness some tense and absorbing tussles for supremacy.

The last date for submitting entries is Saturday, May 20.
This 5-day event offers one of the highest prize-money, with a total cash fund of Rs 3.50 lakh at stake for the winners, runners-up and the losing semi-finalists. In addition to these substantial prizes, the MIG Cricket Club and the organizing committee has decided to support deserving talented youngsters, by awarding them with scholarships which would help them to focus on their game and become better players.
Matches would also be played at the Andheri Sports Complex badminton courts.
