An overwhelming number of 224 entries have been received for the ECC All India Open 6-Red Snooker Tournament 2018, scheduled to be played at the Elphinstone Cricket Club billiards room from August 2 to 15.
The tournament offers handsome cash award of Rs 40,000 for the champion, Rs 25,000 to the runner-up, while losing semifinalists will receive Rs 12,500 each. The players who lose in the round of 16 will be assured of a sum of Rs 3,500 each and the losing quarter-finalists will pocket a prize of 7000 each. In addition a cash prize of Rs 5,000 will be awarded for the highest break, minimum qualification break of 70 an over.
The initial, first and second rounds will be best-of-5 frames, while the round of 64, round of 32 and round 16 matches will be played over best-of-7 frames. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will an best-of-9 frame contests, while final will be fought over best-of-11 frames.
