Maharashtra State Police proved too hot to handle as they thumped Ave Maria SC 14-2 in a lop-sided Senior Division match of the MHAL (Mumbai Hockey Association Limited) League – 2015 and played at the MHAL Stadium, Churchgate on Friday.
Showing good understanding and working as a cohesive unit the state cops scored at regular intervals to run away with the match. Skipper Kunal Jagdale and Ashis Chopde both notched up a hat-trick each, while Vinod Manugade and Prithivi Salunkhe scored two goals each, while Sandip Sawant, Arun Yadav, Gomed Patil and Tushar Bamdeker, all chipped in with a goal apiece to complete the margin of victory. Ave Maria reduced the margin of defeat with Kutty Ali and Sujit T. getting the goals.
